NCARB and You - Licensure and architectural practice in the USA

  • Desso Showroom 23-25 Great Sutton Street London, England, EC1V 0DN United Kingdom (map)

The American Institute of Architects - United Kingdom Chapter (AIA UK) is pleased to present this lecture on the path to becoming a licensed architect in the United States, with invited speakers from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). This presentation will be of interest to students, aspiring architects, foreign-registered architects and those in the architecture and construction industry who are considering to practice as an architect in the US in the future. We will review the path to achieving licensure as well as getting the most out of your architectural career.

Topics will include the role of NCARB as well as the different entities involved in the licensure process, the Education and Experience requirements as well as what to expect in the Architectural Registration Exams (ARE); and Certification after licensure for those seeking extra mobility to move and work around the country.
