AIA UK Bike Tour 2025 - Hampton Court / Richmond / Kew
Our annual bike and sketching tour is back, exploring the architecture of west London from Hampton Court to Kew.
When: Saturday 28 June 2025, 11:00am – 6:00pm
Start: 11am at Waterloo Station (for train at 11:20)
CES Credits - Estimated 5.0 LUs for AIA Members
RIBA Members may count this activity towards their CPD recording requirement.
Description
Please join us for our annual Cycle and Sketching tour taking place on Saturday, 28th June 2025. We will explore the beautiful west London Thames cycle path from Walton-on-Thames to Hampton Court Palace, where we will have a picnic lunch in the grounds, followed by sketching and watercolour at Hampton Court Palace.
We will then cycle on to Kingston and Richmond where we will view some architectural gems, including Richmond Station which has been restored by Benny O’Looney Architects. We will continue From Richmond on to Kew and Barnes.

11:20 - 11:37am - Train to Walton-on-Thames
11:45am - 1:15pm - Cycle from Walton-on-Thames to Hampton Court along cycle path
1:15 - 3:00pm - Lunch on lawn at Hampton Court Palace
Sketching and Watercolour at Hampton Court Palace
3:00 - 4:00pm - Cycle to Richmond
4:00 - 5:00pm - Richmond
5:00pm - Cycle to Kew and possibly onto Barnes
