AIA UK Legal Seminar with Beale & Company

The AIA UK Chapter cordially invites you to the fourth in our series of legal seminars:

In association with Beale & Company:

Risks of Design Team Novation

What are the risks to architects and how can these be managed when your contract is novated to a design-build contractor?

Design and build projects and the novation of appointments from the client to the contractor are increasingly prevalent in the construction industry.  Join the AIA UK and our colleagues at Beale & Company Solicitors on Wednesday, April 15th for a presentation and discussion about novation.  This presentation will focus specifically on design and build projects and the issues to be considered when negotiating novation agreements.

This discussion is the fourth in our series on legal matters of interest (and concern) to architects and will:

• Provide an introduction to novation

• Identify the risks arising from novation

• Discuss different approaches to novation

• Highlight key issues in novation agreements, and

• Discuss practical issues associated with novation

The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session where the speakers will address all of your questions.

The event is being hosted by chapter sponsor Herman Miller in their London Showroom.  Herman Miller is providing drinks and canapés!

1.5 CES Credits are available and admission is free of charge.

Places are very limited. Please RSVP online by clicking here.
